On-site vs classroom vs online training

Compare delivery formats using the selected course’s actual catalogue entry and confirmed arrangements.

Check the exact listing

Record the full title and catalogue group. The current catalogue lists classroom and online prices for some courses, while several practical course entries list classroom only. Treat on-site delivery as a request requiring venue and course confirmation rather than an automatic option.

Compare the learner experience

For an online session, ask about access, participation and assessment arrangements. For classroom delivery, confirm venue, reporting times and the practical requirements. For a requested client-site session, explain facilities, access and learner numbers so suitability can be checked.

Illustrative comparison

A team compares HIRA classroom and online options. The catalogue provides prices for both, but the coordinator still needs the session format, assessment details, device requirements and learner availability. A price difference alone cannot establish which option fits the group.

Record the agreement

Keep the confirmed mode with the course title, dates, venue or access details and commercial terms. Do not generalise a one-off arrangement into a permanent delivery claim on another course page. Use the comparison worksheet to retain unanswered questions before booking.
