Identify the current submission
Record the contractor, work package, site, stage, document version and issue date. Identify the person who can respond to review comments. When a revision arrives, keep the earlier comments and show what changed instead of overwriting the history.
Connect the plan to the project
Include the relevant client specification or agreed criteria, activity description, programme and interfaces. Explain what information is not yet available. The evaluator needs to know whether a section is omitted, outside scope or waiting for an input from another party.
Illustrative clarification request
A plan describes a generic work sequence while the programme shows work in an occupied area. The review question should identify the relevant section and ask how that interface is addressed. It should not invent the missing arrangement or silently assume that a generic procedure covers it.
Agree the review output
Confirm whether the assignment includes a comments schedule, meetings, revised submissions and closure review. A document evaluation is not evidence that the described arrangements have been implemented on site. Keep implementation checks as an explicit part of the agreed scope where required.
Put the decision into practice
- 1Identify plan, contractor and version.
- 2Supply project criteria and work-package context.
- 3List missing or provisional inputs.
- 4Nominate a response owner.
- 5Agree revision and closure review arrangements.
